The untapped source of knowledge everybody know

In this article I’m going to give you my views on combining NLP with other “maps of the world” so to say. For instance, combining NLP and math. I’m going to explain this concept with a simple mathemetic comparison, so you’ll understand it more easily.
You see, one of the NLP presuppositions is “The map is not the territory”. This is basically the entire concept behind my coaching model. But this also implies that we have maps for our reality. We have our map of London for example. But we also have a map of mathematics, a map of hypnosis, psychology, a map of our house, etc.
If we want to learn something new, let’s say, in mathematics, we often learn new stuff, our map of mathematics grows bigger. This way we can expand our views on and become more knowledgable, easy right? You’ve probably done this all your life.
Now, what would it be like? If we just took those maps that we already have, and combine them with other maps. Not making your existing map of X bigger by learning new stuff, but by using already known knowledge and implement it in other area’s of your life and experiment, find out new ways to strengthen other areas in your life, but using knowledge from completely different areas of your life.
In mathematics we can visualize this with something called Mapping Across. It’s a simplified view of a map (for instance, NLP, see image). These maps can map its concepts onto other maps. Mapping across
Mapping Across NLP
NLP in itself is a map, it’s a combination other maps, for example, it consists of hypnosis (Milton model), family therapy (Viginia Satir and her Meta model), timelines, Pavlov (anchoring), etc. NLP is the perfect example of things that already exist and combining them in ways that are even more powerful then they originally were. We’ve created a new map called NLP.
What would happen if you’d combine your map of NLP with your map of raising kids? What would it be like to combine your map of hypnosis with child birth? Communication in relationships and communicating at work? What new things could you do by combining NLP and sexuality? Mathematics and NLP? Relationships and personal health?
Mapping Across NLP What would it be like?
What would happen if you use already known knowledge in other area's of your life?
There are so many ways you can utilize already known knowledge in new ways you might not even be aware of it yet. But in the next couple of days, just take a look at all the things you’re already good at and wonder about new ways you can utilize those attributes in other areas of your life. Because you might just find out something new you have been missing out on all along…
